- Protect this House - 06/17/2022

Alright, before I start writing, let me just say that football is a bread and circuses distraction, and most if not all sports are rigged. 

With that being said, I was reading the Torah Portion this morning with Hebrews 3:1-6 in it, and immediately I thought about how the defense in football talks about protecting their house when they are playing a game at home. 

The phrase, "We must protect this house" comes from an Under Armor commercial from a few years back.  

A defensive leader or captain gets up in the locker room to give a motivational speech to get not just the defense, but the whole team fired up to go defeat the invading enemy on their turf, and he ends the speech with WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE! 

Shouting it from the top of his lungs: THIS IS OUR HOUSE! WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE! 

Heb 3:6  but Messiah as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the boldness and the boasting of the expectation firm to the end

WE are His House, WE are His TEMPLE and WE must protect HIS HOUSE or He says in His Word that He will destroy a defiled Temple. 

1Co 3:16  Do you not know that you are a Dwelling Place of Elohim and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you? 

1Co 3:17  If anyone destroys the Dwelling Place of Elohim, Elohim shall destroy him. For the Dwelling Place of Elohim is set-apart, which you are. 

In football, a more-talented team, can just come in and impose their will upon an opponent, but in the battle for our souls and over His Temple, our enemy has no power or authority to do this! 

Satan has no authority to keep us out of the New Jerusalem, just like he had no authority to kick Adam and Eve out of the Garden, so what did he use? DECEPTION! 

What is he using now?! DECEPTION! 

The Enemy can't come in and impose HIS WILL upon you, he has to get permission FROM you. 

You have the authority to bind or loose, you have the authority to cast him out from your presence! 

We all need to learn how to walk in the fullness of what we have been called to do, and how to handle and use the weapons which we have been given! 

2Co 10:2  But I pray, that when I am present, I might not be bold with that bravery by which I think to be bold against some who reckon us as if we walked according to the flesh. 

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh. 

2Co 10:4  For the weapons we fight with are not fleshly but mighty in Elohim for overthrowing strongholds, 

2Co 10:5  overthrowing reasonings and every high matter that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohim, taking captive every thought to make it obedient to the Messiah, 

2Co 10:6  and being ready to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

Endure until The End! 

Protect THIS HOUSE no matter what! 

We are His House, we are His Temple IF we hold fast the boldness and the boasting of the expectation FIRM until the End! - Hebrews 3:6b
